Broadhurst Magistrate Court was yesterday told that four suspects namely Lethata Tebatso, Goldman Nkunga, Raven Mogapaesi and Joseph Boheto will have to wait a little while before they can be granted their forensics results. The quartet were arrested in connection with the murder of a combi passenger that happened in Mogoditshane on July 11 2019.
The investigating officer in charge yesterday noted that indeed they are awaiting results, he further told that they met with the forensics personnel in quest to have the forensics results availed.
Accused 1, 2 and 4 were denied bail because court was told that they have a plethora of matters that they are connected to. The accused have been charged with a single count of murder and 4 robberies, all of which are still under investigations.
Furthermore, the state told court that there is another witness who is in Zimbabwe and they are intending on bringing her to testify, they however noted that another charge is to be added to their case. The accused are arguing that they need to be given their clothes which have since been used for investigations.
Police investigations revealed that the suspects boarded a Mogoditshane bound combi from Gaborone Bus Rank where they later attacked passengers and stabbed the deceased. Victims were robbed of their valuables which included cellphones, money and clothes at knife point.
