Mascom Wireless has donated sports equipment to Supang Memorial Primary School in Letlhakane village as part of the company’s Top 8 season 9 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
On his deliberations, the Mascom Public Relations Officer Tirelo Kooagile said that Mascom’s view on sport is drawn out of the organisation’s overall pubic relations and brand communication strategy.
He added that they view sport as a entity through which they can not only engage with Batswana but also do great work in contributing towards sports sponsorship and donation.
Kooagile: “Sports in itself is universally compelling and phenomenal with an ability to cut through language and cultural barriers.”
He also said that Mascom has been part of local sport for over a decade across various sporting codes including volleyball, basketball, netball, criket and football to mention but a few.
In conclusion he handed over sports equipment which included a team kit with tops, shorts, socks, football nets and bibs which will go a long way in developing the football talent in Supang Primary School.
